Getting to Know Carolyn
Thank you for visiting my website. You are probably reading this to determine if I am an agent you would like to work with. First and foremost, I operate my business (and personal life) by using the "Golden Rule"; treating people the way I would like to be treated. My clients appreciate my integrity, experience, and candor. Most of all, I have been described by many as knowledgeable, patient and caring.
If you are looking for a super aggressive, pushy agent who will go to any length to sell you a house, I am not your agent.
My Real Estate Background
I was licensed as a Real Estate Agent in South Carolina in 2005. I actually started working in Real Estate as a Developer's Representative in the State of Georgia. We were involved with acquiring land, developing subdivisions and acquiring builders to build out the neighborhoods. After 10 personal moves, I decided to become a Real Estate Agent. I have successfully graduated from the Accredited Buyer's Representative course and enjoy helping both buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. I am a hands-on agent, who cares for each and every client I have the pleasure of helping.
My Personal Background
I began my sales career at the ripe old age of 9. Selling Christmas cards door to door to earn a much-coveted guitar. Well, the guitar is long gone, but the love for helping people find what they need was inspired and is still with me.
I have had the pleasure of making the Columbia, SC area home for the past 18 years. I am actually a "Lookout Mountain Girl" from the Tennessee/Georgia state line. Our hometown was so small that our mail was addressed to us in Tennessee, while we actually lived in Georgia! When it came time to choosing colleges, I actually had the enviable position of being "in-state" for either Tennessee or Georgia. Choosing the University of Georgia, I graduated with a degree in Consumer Sciences. While there, I met my future husband, who eventually led me to South Carolina. We moved to Columbia so that he could accept a faculty position with the University of South Carolina. I am now a converted Gamecock fan, except when they play Georgia!
We have raised our children in the Richland 2 schools, with two graduated and one to go! I have experience navigating the "special needs" of two of my children, which has taught me a great deal of patience and perseverance. I am active in the community especially with bible study, book club, historical societies and booster clubs for my children.
If you feel like I could help you with your Real Estate needs, I would sincerely love to talk with you. Please give me a call at 803-331-5402 to discuss how to get the "key" to your next home.
